It's interesting watching the clips in that first video. I dunno if benches were more subdued back then but no one was reacting to any of the plays he was making. It's weird cause he had some legit highlights but niccas on the Cavs were just giving him golf claps.
thats because they knew from the moment bron made his first highlight they were expendable lol:troll:

smush parker telling bron gon have a caron butler impact :laff:

darius miles talmbout bandwaggon :laff: shyt is sad, miles had so much potential, sorta like lamar odom, but he blew it

all them folks were gone from cleveland after bron's rookie season.
Darius Miles, Ricky Davis, DaJuan Wagner were all crazy raw talents. Those guys not panning out doomed LeBron's first tenure in Cleveland.

Then the Cavs didn't match an offer sheet for Carlos Boozer who went on to be a 21/12/3 on 56% FG guy in his prime in Utah.

Then in 2010 when it was time to trade for Amar'e Stoudemire, the Cavs front office decided they just couldn't part ways with J.J. Hickson.

Flabby Shaq, motherfukker Delonte West, Mo Williams, Larry Hughes, Big Z, Antwan Jamison, and Anderson sideshow bob Varejao the best players Bron had.

TYRONE GA!

"We have better players than him at his position already on our team bro". :shaq2:

"LeBron can just add to what we need you know and just make things a little bit easier". :russell:

"He will come in and make an immediate impact you know like a Caron Butler on the Miami Heat". :ehh:

"I don't think you can bring a high school player in and think your team just gonna turn around like that. If he come :manny:, you know what I'm saying he could just hop on our bandwagon."

LeBron would go on to average 21/6/6 on 42/29/75 splits and improve Cleveland's record by 18 wins capturing RoY honors straight from high school.

I've been searching for a quote from Jordan on lebron. I remember Jordan saying he wasn't going to be anything special out the gate. This was obvious before he was drafted.

I can't find that quote anywhere on the web anyone.

I Wonder what lebron at ohio state woulda been like :ohhh:

If he did go to college the cavs prob would of drafted melo?
Yeah, Melo fresh off a dominant freshman season and the national title at Syracuse.

Melo himself had a great rookie year, I wish they could have done co-RoY with him and LeBron like they did with Grant Hill and Kidd in '94.

Melo averaged 21/6/3 on 42/32/77 splits, Nuggets had a 26 win improvement and made the playoffs.

Pistons really fukked up not drafting Melo. They made at least the conference finals for 5 straight seasons imagine with Melo in the mix.

Gotta remember at the time Bron was still a product of media hype so the players were probably tired of hearing about him by then. He was a big story for casual fans but the "serious" basketball minds weren't lining up to say how great he was.

Also this was the heart of the "NBA = Thugs" era. The perception of straight outta high school players was still mostly negative (despite reality). Especially a young tatted up hoodlum who was calling himself The King...
