Of course they did...is ANYONE surprised by this
Exactly. It's just due diligence for them to push for a 2 game suspension. NBA GMs and owners aren't worried about fans questioning their street cred, they're doing whatever they can to get an advantage.
If the roles were reversed and a Cav's player, especially Lebron or Kyrie since Love can't even fairly be compared to Draymond, was 1 flagrant away from being suspended the Warriors' front office would've lobbied the same way for the league to deem it a flagrant 2 and for them to be suspended 2 games. Worse case scenario is the league takes no action, best case they actually go for the flagrant 2, Cavs got the middle ground with the flagrant 1 and 1 game.
Shameless
And false, Kobe jordan bird would have wanted to beat the best teams with with their full strength
They'd have no say in it. When they were in their primes it never would've leaked to the media that their teams' front office lobbied to have a player suspended. Even their front office could've kept it secret from them. It's normal practice for a team to ask the NBA to review a play, especially a dirty one, and it always has been. We're just in the 24/7 media age and there's more of a demand for random sources to give info to reporters so everything gets leaked to the media.
