A La Carte is what these cable companies fear.

I don't need 1000 channels when people like myself barely watch any on a consistent basis. $5-$15 per channel/package makes the most sense for us.

Netflix, HBO and sports packages are all I need. :scusthov: @ the idea of paying $150 a month for Cable.

All that would cost me is $45 a month (if HBO doesn't go crazy) and whatever sports package I pick up.

Bullshyt...They don't fear shyt as long as they control the price of internet. I understand why everyone wants shyt to change but when all these companies pull out and make cable TV worthless even to the casual square types, the cable companies are going to want to recoup some of that money back.

Wherever whores go.....
Nah, you are just too stuck with your stance to realize how fukking stupid your argument is.

If I only watch CBS...and maybe HBO to go along with it. I should be opposed to paying $20 a month for just those 2 and instead fork over a $100+ premium to have access to them and all the others?

That doestn make a lick of sense. No person would be okay with just those two channels.
For the person who wants to watch netflix and HBO its okay but if you want to watch showtime, AMC, sports it becomes insanely expensive.

You are already paying for those channels on top of your cable tv subscription though. I also think you are overestimating how many channels a single person watches...I refuse to believe there are many people that are following 20+ shows on multiple channels + sports on a daily basis like that. There is a reason why so many people are cutting the cords...cable companies are doing whatever they can to try to keep people on board.

What is Showtime on TWC these days? About $10-$12 a month? Sports? You have to pay a premium for those sports packages on top of your bill as well. AMC? You can buy individual episodes of something you like or wait until AMC comes out with their own subscription for like $10 a month.

With these new models your "TV" basically goes anywhere with you and you will be able to share it with your family as many do with their netflix/hulu+ and other subscriptions. If you want to be super cheap you can come up with a plan with your family and split the cost in about 5 different ways. Watch it on your iPad, iPhone, PC, XBOX, PS4, Chromecast anywhere...anytime for the same fee. No extra "Set Top Box" fee either.

Oh they do, TWC is always leaving flyers at my door trying to give me sweet deals such as a laptop or whatever they can come up with to get me back on board for TV service :dead:

You just dont get it. :snoop:

TV anywhere and everywhere is the market is gearing towards.
But you do realize that someone has to provide the internet service for streaming or did you think the service came from magical pixel fairies.

Cable providers shot themselves in the foot by not adapting and shot themselves in the face by nickel and diming the customers that stayed. The current pay $100+ for just tv is not economically feasible for most people but NEITHER is paying $5-10 per channel.
