Yeah I get it.. I took the first call for my interview too and we set up a good time to do the actual interview. I get that it was a zo call and that’s different.. you got to get around thdg though. They have thousands of people waiting. These recruiters move on quick.

This gotta be the weakest shyt I’ve ever seen. :dwillhuh: I applied for a job last week and the day after I get a call back from the recruiter stating they want to do a phone interview. I’m like aight no problem. I’m at my current job and stop working to do their 30 minute phone interview. They tell me I don’t have enough experience for the job I applied for but they have another job (Media Systems Specialist) they think I’m a good fit for since I’m still kind of new as far as my career and I can learn a lot. The job is all the way out in Hauppague and I live in Brooklyn but I would have no problem making a move for that job.:ehh:

Everything is going great but the recruiter asks me to redo my resume and add more detail and email to her and she would submit it to the hiring manager. I redo the resume send it to her and a few days later I get an email back saying the hiring manager wants to do an interview. :gladbron:

Now this is last weekend and I’m trying to set up the interview with this recruiter. For my current job last week I was on call, so I was working 12 pm- 11 pm Monday-Friday and 8 am - 11 pm Saturday and Sunday. I’m trying to negotiate a good time slot for the interview but I’m only able to do it in the morning time because I’m at work during the afternoon. She’s telling me the hiring managers are only available for the afternoon. :comeon: I’m like ok fine would you be able to push this interview out for the week of the 9th and she’s like ok we can do that.

Now its the week of the 2nd of August and I’m waiting for a response from her but get nothing. :dwillhuh: So I email her asking for a response and I get some bullshyt automated message that she’s out of the office and will be returning on 6/22/2021:what:.

Now today is the 9th and I haven’t heard shyt back from that lady. :mindblown: nikkas really ghosted me on a job interview. :mindblown:
Sorry breh but you need to do interviews on their time not yours. You should've took off work and did that interview. They will interview other people and fill that position.

I got out of my old job for my current one because one of the big bosses straight fussed at me in front of everybody. Then she sent me down to Charleston for the week to cover the Walter Scott situation. I was like oh hell nah, I got to get out of here! I applied for my current job and got a response in the quickest time I’ve ever gotten a response. Man dude set up an intern for a certain day and I went right into one of the rooms in the job and did the interview lol. More money and a better city. I was out two weeks after I got the job!

Those media jobs usually be moving in terms of getting the process going :pachaha:
They usually ready to take you after one interview and a look at your work. Talking bout some "can you start on Thursday?" Muafukka it's Tuesday :dahell:

Should've just taken the phone call whenever they wanted :francis:

You don’t get a lunch? If so, couldn’t have done it then?

Truthfully, if I wanted the job bad enough, I would have scheduled during the afternoon and pulled my Ethernet cable out the wall during the call. Tell the job I lost internet connection.

I’m confused why you wouldn’t take time off from your current job to interview for this one considering you were willing to move if you’d gotten it

Breh if you want a new job take the interview while at your current job. It's not that difficult.

Yea I was in a very similar situation just last month. A recruiter actually reached out to me via LinkedIn while I was at work.

I responded and she wanted to set up a call. A day later she called me at work and I got up from my desk and went outside to talk to her for like 30.

That began a series of interviews where I just came in late and made my hours up.

Ultimately they offered me the position and I accepted last Monday. I start on the 24th

So it sounds like the job didn’t really want the best candidate but someone to jump when they needed them to jump. Be careful with jobs like that brehs.

When I was younger I took jobs that wouldn’t even let me give my current employer a 2 week notice. They’re letting you know how they view you, the work your about to do, and their employees period. If I’m hiring I want to hear that your committed to your employer and won’t blow them off to interview especially if it’s behind their back. I don’t want you to do that to me.

This attitude is why people aren’t coming back to work in the first place
