I was on the Rainbow bridge in Niagara a couple weeks ago and my money started to evaporate in my pocket. Had to turn back. :phew: Was wondering why there was a sign on the gate saying Enter at your own risk

Yup many buy in cash and don't even live in the properties. There are while condos empty with foreign owners .

They just park their money here away from the Chinese government

Very true, I used to work with a real estate agent and he was telling me those chinese realtors with the huge billboards and shyt, they literally fly folks in to sign and buy property. Sometimes companies will buy out floors and rent them out. It's super crazy.

What are they doing? Just buying houses in cash ? :wtf:

They just want to park the money in Canada

They never live here, sometimes they send their teenage kids to get educated in Canada. You will have a 17 year old living on his own with a part time "nanny" supposedly living with them.

They drive Bugatti's and Lambos around all the time, you can tell they are young cause they have the N( New Driver) sticker on the car.

The average Chinese buyer in Vancouver spends over 2 million on each property they buy, and many time A LOT more.

And they only pay property taxes, but use the healthcare system.

And it has a trickle down effect, schools are closing same with businesses and people who work in the city have to move farther and farther out to find affordable housing. And not only that Chinese are plunking their money in further out communities as well.

And the government does nothing as thousands and thousands of educated professionals leave the city to greener pastures.

Why would a brand new Dr or dentist or lawyer want to travek a long distance to a hospital or the courts becsuss they can't find affordable housing.

Not to mention you go to a class at sfu or ubc and its filled with international students.

It's not sustainable but to late
