Chris Bosh.
When you said "Lebron force STAR PLAYERS to become spot up shooterS", I thought you were gonna list at least 5 star players to support your argument :martin:

as far as Bosh:
He took 0.3 3-pointer per game in his last year with the Raptors
He took 0.3 3-pointer per game in his first year with the Heat
He took 3.8 3-pointer per game in his first year after Lebron

When did becoming a spot up shooter mean only taking 3s?

If you watched any basketball during that time you know good and well that LeBron had Chris Bosh parked out there in the perimeter taking jumpers. Mostly mid-range shots at first but as the years went on, Bosh started taking more and more 3s. Also, its funny you only posted the first year when the big 3 got together. Why didn't you post his 3-point attempts every year after joining LeBron? The reason you didn't is because Bosh took more and more 3s as the years went on. We all know year 1 was the most dysfunctional year of the big 3. That was when they were still on that MY TURN YOUR TURN tip. It wasn't until Year 2 they went into full-on Bron Ball. And if you look at Bosh's 3-point attempts, they rose steadily from that year and kept rising all the way until he had to retire because of the blood clots.

There is no denying that Chris Bosh was reduced into becoming a spot up guy when he played with LeBron. He had few if any plays run for him. And he was no longer allowed to play in the post. After LeBron left, sure Bosh took more 3s. But that was in line with the direction the league was going where everyone was taking more 3s. wasn't just that Bosh took more 3s, he took more shots in general from everywhere. And he returned to the All-NBA caliber player he was before LeBron.

There is no denying that playing with LeBron hurt Chris Bosh's game. No denying. Compare that to Pau Gasol who saw his game RISE when he joined Kobe. And maybe you'll see the difference between how Kobe makes those around him better while LeBron makes those around him worse.

here you go

0.3 (pre Lebron)
0.3
0.6
1.0
2.8
3.8 (post lebron)
4.2

it's funny that you used "the direction of the league" excuse for Bosh's taking 3s only when Lebron left Miami.

Bosh stats went down because he went from being a 1st option in non-playoff team to 3rd option in a great team. Even Wade, and Lebron numbers went down during that time. thats the price players have to pay when they play for a great team. Since Wade and Lebron were obviously better than Bosh, his numbers took the biggest hit. part of the blame also fall on Bosh himself. there were a lot of games were he should've been more aggressive. he still had many great moments and was vital piece to the Heat championships.

I already saw those numbers. I was simply pointing out your clear deception in omitting them. When fully laid out, you see a clear pattern in Bosh's game extending out to 3-point range.

Nonetheless, you still tip-toed around my larger point. 3-pointers aren't the only "jumpshots" out there on the floor. Bosh was reduced to a standstill shooter from the mid-range. He was no longer getting the post touches he used to get in Toronto in the mid and pinch post. He was turned exclusively into a catch and shoot jump shooter. As the years went on, his range extended from 18-20 feet to the 3-point line.

Stop trying to lie to people by acting like 3-point attempts are somehow the only "jumpshots" out there on the floor. Bosh was not allowed to play his game next to LeBron. It wasn't just that he didn't get as many touches as he used to. He was getting any touches in the places he had grown accustomed to in Toronto (the mid and pinch post). Why? Cause LeBron needs to those driving lanes and doesn't want defenders in the paint. LeBron caused him to change his game. That is UNDENIABLE.
