You know something though, Cee-Lo, Phonte, and to a lesser extent Drake have really shown that despite being elite lyricists rap-wise, R&B is where it's at. Popularity wise, money, etc. Majority of people probably don't relate Cee-Lo to his rapping career at all

Rap fans respect it. Mainstream, his songwriting talent R&B wise is well respected. So he's getting his just due regardless and eating well off of it
