I dont get my hopes up at tip-off but games like this when we're late in the 4th quarter and leading, I get hype only to be let down.

Made the Eastern conference semi-finals in 2012, teams have spent a decade plus in last place and getting lottery picks, Sixers are on their 4th season. Philadelphia is not a very attractive destination for free agents they're doing what they have to do to build a contender. No one wants to see them be a 6-8 seed out in the 1st or 2nd round every season.

They were at least 2 stars and a couple solid role players away in 2012 and had no cap space, they didn't have that option. Their only option was to completely blow it up.
