We were AND made changes, thats what pro active organizations do dummy....We actually werent getting the attention until right now whenl we acquired a top 5 player...Raps are no less a contender than the Celtics are....and have accomplished nothing more...

nikka, it's one thing to cheer for your team and hope for the best finish but you're delusional if you think the Raptors are contenders like the Cs. The favorites in the East are Boston and then Philly and then Toronto. The Toronto team as is hasn't accomplished nearly as much as the Cs. And again, Kawhi will only be a cRaptor for this season.

Knicks are emerging,i hear hes trying to team up with Kyrie next year

Kyrie ain't leaving. He's all but said it, especially in his most recent interviews.

But the CS have been the GOAT franchise before Kyrie and will continue to be the GOAT franchise after Kyrie.

no talk about Kyrie really knowing the future?

  • jumped off that sinking ship that was Cleveland before Bron left him in the dust.
  • saw that Boston was the future of the East going forward and joined them
  • "faked" an injury so Rozier and all the young cats could gell together
  • makes epic return this season to look like the long lost hero returning to save the day with his new co-stars
  • likely will return to the Finals without even having to worry about LeBron

Kyrie da gawd :wow:

Not as good as the raptors:Wahala:

Will beat you bums just like we did with DeRozan :mjsmiles:

Last I checked, the last two years y'all didn't last long enough to play us in the postseason :skip:

Also @Miggs I peeped you dapping that post about Kyrie missing games, hate to be the one to tell you Kawhi has missed more games than him in the last 4 years and hasn't finished a season not on the injury report since 2016

This is a solid defensive team, but I don't see them beating the Warriors. The Dubs have answers to all of Boston's questions, but the reverse isn't true. They've got nobody for Durant and nobody for Cousins, which means they also won't be able to guard Steph and Klay. And that's just for starters. Once you start mixing and matching the bench players then I think things will get completely out of hand.

Also, I think people are giving this team a little too much credit by proclaiming this squad to be championship-bound. Let's not forget that LeBron sonned these dudes last year, they don't really have an answer for Embiid nor Simmons, and Kawhi is easily an upgrade over DeRozan.

IMO, this team is easily wait-and-see status. As others have stated, Kyrie could get injured (though Steph could too TBF), Hayward hasn't played ball in a year, Brown and Tatum are still stars in-the-making, and Horford is more of a utility player than one who'll carry the team in scoring. That's a lot of variables to place up against the machine known as the Warriors who're arguably better than ever.

1. Cs were the best defensive team last season. No reason to believe that'll change.

2. LeBron beat the same Celtics team MINUS Kyrie and Hayward. If the Cs were fully healthy, they would've made the Finals last year. You judging this team based on how they did against Bron last year is disingenuous and wrong.

3. Celtics are probably the best matchup for the Warriors and probably take them to 7 games.

4. Tatum and Brown will continue to improve and the CS are only going to be a stronger opponent as those 2 develop.

5. Cousins missed a lot of timeout season. So if you're gonna minimize Hayward's impact due to him being out last season, then it only makes sense to minimize the impact that Cousins will have, especially since he's not going to be ready by the start of the season.

Not bad for the Eastern Conference:ehh:....I think they'd be a 4th-5th seed in the West
The East has arguably three of the top 5 teams in the NBA this season...

Even last season the Celtics split the season series in two close games with Houston and beat the Warriors twice holding them under 90 points in both matchups. Please stop with this bullshyt tired narrative.

To compete and beat the Dubs you have to be able to switch everything defensively. Teams like the Celtics, Rockets, Raptors have shown the ability to do that which is why they've beat or had very close games against the Warriors. The Lakers should also be able to switch everything against them.

The Warriors added DeMarcus Cousins which might prevent teams from throwing out those small, super switchable lineups.
