I'm kinda glad it didnt happen like that. There is no reason why Charlotte of all people should run in there and become champion immediately. She has a losing record against Banks, I like Becky 10X, and she shouldnt be winning the belt before Naomi. Someone coming in and just winning on the first night isnt how you get people to take the belt seriously. Building up legit storylines and contenders is how you do that.
The worst part of all of this is that they squashed that and went with the meaningless tag matches instead? They could have had a womens king of the ring type of tournament that ended with a championship match at summerslam or the next ppv instead of whatever this is supposed to be. Would have introduced all of the new acts, gave fans a reason to root for certain people, and it would have established the clear top dog of the division while simultaneously showing everyone that this is something to take serious

Honestly I think that they're begrudgingly sticking to Nikki outpacing AJ, then giving it up.
They threw us a bone by bringing the girls in early.
Yeah, trading wins is pointless tag matches to some, but it establishes them a hell of a lot better than even more pointless jobber matches.
Even as new wrestlers to many, they did shake up the division. The quality and focus on women's wrestling has already improved.

There is no way Sasha is seeing the belt before Charlotte. Charlotte is who's getting that nextn o matter what imo. But Sasha came through and just pretty much snatched the shine from the other NXT girls cause she has the most personality (and talent obviously but we know that doesn't always matter).
