The only reason I can come up with is that the constant criticism and trolling by fans got to him and he decided he was going to go full indy to show he can work that style.
At first I didn't have an issue with it but dude has went full retard. He's taken the worst of the style and putting it to practice almost every week
And when Orton adds new moves they seem reasonable compared to the rest of his moveset. He's not going to add a Swanton Bomb or a Springboard Clothesline.

Simple fact is if u rest guys let people get salty they arent seeing them for a few months they gonna come back hotter than even.
Simple case of building demand for ur product.
These wwf goofs so fukkin dumb man u could get people so hot for ur product if u just toned down the number of events, set up a season type shyt so ur fukkin wrestlers arent dying every year, promote the season if they really want reality era. It would fit into the cross promotion of sportscenter seemingly a lot better.
Funny how dana shyts on wwf when he ultimately has followed the same path...way too many events no demand for fights.
What i truly think should happen is that you got half a season of nxt type shyt, half a season of wwf shyt. Then u playoff season...damn people would be hot for that
