When I was in Rutgers, they would always send out these automated alerts to students, staff and faculty (RU Alerts I think) where a description of any assault and the perpetrator would be provided and I swear to God every time in my 4 years there one was sent it was just like the bolded. The only added detail would be something ridiculous like "between 18 and 37 years old with a beard". It got so bad that we had black student groups calling it out..think it even made it to the Targum (university newspaper)

i fit the description for a guy that stole a students credit card and used it at an lsu gas station last semester....they had his pic, even I had to look at it like "is that me"

but i mean obviously i knew it wasnt cuz i was paid

but the looks i got all day were annoying as fukk

then my first semester at lsu had 2 undecovers by the library come up to me asking me about the laptop i was carrying(it was mine)

made me prove to them on the spot it was for me while all the other white kids were walking around with electronics, they picked me out

I highly suggest you brehs check out the documentary on them. Central Park Five. It is crazy how the press/police made them into demons/savages, when they were just kids who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It is kind of wild how shyt like this can happen only like 25 years ago.

I swear every black man in America needs to watch that documentary.

Yeah they definitely deserved more than that.

And what's worse...who knows how many countless people were wrongly convicted over the years?

REAL TALK.

I don't feel like getting into it now...but seriously, I just see how men of color get the short end of the stick in cases like this when accused of rape...even when evidence shows that they weren't involved.

Let the rape victim be white and it's game over. Brothers get locked up for less...
