How so? If a person makes a non profit and uses his power to do bad things the board of directors is there to get him out of there.

Chances are, you are always going to have people you answer to, be it shareholders or investors. You think they're just going to hand over a sum of cash and have 0 say in the people appointed to run the organisation?

Are you guys mistaken on what the word “public” means. A company “going public” means it’s being traded on the stock market for anyone to buy shares. That’s not the case for black girls code which is a non profit. Any company public or private, for profit or nonprofit that takes in substantial investment money will likely have a board of directors who can fire and hire CEOs at their leisure.

There are CEOs who did just that though. Their friends are on the board. People aren't forced to invest with you, don't like it, take your money elsewhere.
