Right now I'm leaning towards a 2018 RAV4.Don't worry about the people who say to just replace the tranny
Replace it just for it to die again soon afterwards
Take that 25k and get a nice used Rav 4
Once I drove the car in to the mechanic last week I said to myself if it's serious this time I'm getting one by the end of the year.Try to hold off until this summer. Car market about to crash hard. Dealerships are fukked.

I've been reading to typically avoid the first year of a new generation. And that the last year of a generation typically has all the bugs worked out.Nah bump that up to a 2019 if you can
Those models are so last year

RAV4 new generation starts in 2019.
I would like to but they are out of my price range unless I'm getting on that's 10 years old and/or 120+ miles on it.I had an 08 Murano that lasted till 2013. Biggest problem I had was the power steering. CVT is indeed trash in ALL Nissans but if you stay on top of it you can come out alright and get your money's worth from the car.
That being said...Get a used Lexus RX 350. Most dependable Crossover ever.
Cars themselves are European trappings.
Used is your only option they aren't offered new in the US market anymore. They still have the LX though.i want a toyota landcruiser . bought a sierra 3500HD for towing and what not
To be fair, that's probably one of the most reliable SUV's by far. I'll see what we have at work if you're looking for something Murano sized with the budget you mentioned.I would like to but they are out of my price range unless I'm getting on that's 10 years old and/or 120+ miles on it.
