I hate how the WRs in the CFL line up

But the game is chippier and you actually get snow games most years

Let them cook. There's nothing else on in the summer besides baseball and soccer anyways

I was with you till you made the Raps, Jays, NHL comparisions :whoa: Those are first rate professional franchises that just happen to play in Canada. The comparision to them would be if Canada had an NFL team.

I think the CFL is satisfied with the formula they got now to keep the league afloat. Their Canadian tv deal subsidizes most of the league and anything they get at the gate is profit. They got dedicated fanbases in the smaller markets and are a big draw for the Grey Cup wherever it is.

Also the league tried to expand to the U.S. in the 90s and failed.
This is another reason why I'm making this argument to get closer to the American rules
Im not saying they need to compete but theyre never going to get any bigger without trying to shed the minor league football label that they have...same thing as the WLAF.

CFL as a league has been around for 80 years with these rules and lasted, seems pointless to talk about the rules compared to other leagues, the product as is draws the fanbase they have and TV numbers...Are you suggesting if they went to 4 downs they would increase TV numbers and attendance and overrall presence ?

This wouldn't be the 'be all solution' but it would help imo. Get closer to the product that everyone loves and enjoys in the US and Canada. There are only 3 major football products in the entire world.. The NFL, College, and the CFL. Its not like soccer where there is a league in every country. But even so they are all part of the soccer/football machine from leagues, to cups, all the way to the World Cup every four years. I'm saying the CFL should join the profitable football machine. Hell I heard more XFL talk than CFL talk and they were only around for one season. There's literally thousands of football players who don't make the NFL.. and yes the CFL would maybe need to allow more Americans to play in their league but they need to stop being weirdos and hop aboard. There's too much money to be made. The American franchises they tried to start maybe would've worked if it wasn't such an oddball type of product. Just my thoughts

A lot of Canadians (particularly out west and in rural areas) have a bunker mentality and like that Good Canadian boy shyt. Allowing more Americans and having American teams would alienate a lot of the CFLs core fanbase

Breh you follow this crap you know the import rules...The league is littered with guys like Dressler and Getzlaf type bums with no speed or size...Dudes in here think cuz Theisman Moon and Jeff Garcia played here briefly its alot of top NCAA recruits when its not....You have a ton of import limitations that allow Lil Timmy and Lil Gaston to play football in the CFL...
What's wrong with the import rules?

The CFL wants to keep things classy unlike the National Felons League where hip hop culture is rampant and players smoke weed and beat women

CFL games have higher ratings than Raptors games head to head breh. Not saying its remotely near the same product but theres a significant # of cacs who would watch CFL before anything other than hockey. Grey Cup games and the CFL playoffs are biggest TV ratings draw in Canada outside of the Stanley Cup final.

Jays when they are mediocre, are most watched than the freaking CFL.

When jays are good, like this year and last year, they blow out the cfl ratings easily.

4-5 millions of fans on average watched every jays playoff game last year.

No dumb people make the mistake of calling it interesting...

"oh look the field wider" :russ:

"its a passing league" :beli:

It needs to be a bigger field and a passing league for how bad 90% of the players are and how dumb alot of the rules are....
The field being bigger cancels out with 3 downs. You couldn't have 4 downs on a big field, and couldn't have 3 on a small field
