The case goes back to 2009, and through 2014. Someone close must have been cooperating, I can't imagine them working the case for a decade. Still, this case is at least 18 months old, and they were waiting on her to end up in a vulnerable country since August.

I don't buy the whole Iran thing. If Huawei was sending US shyt to Iran (probably true) you can sanction the company, freeze accounts, etc. but arrest upper level personnel? Yeah, not sure how this is going to end though I wonder if China wants to piss off the business community who is the only buffer between them and Trump + MAGA. They did arrest those Rio Tinto guys in China though when Australia blocked the Chinalco takeover a while back. My person conspiracy theory is some of these Chinese living large in the West whose wealth comes from corrupt money they stole from the system might start getting that work as retaliation....but who knows
