Easiest way to fix current format. If a conference champ is ranked in the top 12 they qualify automatically. Every other spot in an at-large.

So this season other than Oregon and Georgia (and maybe Boise St.) every other team would be at-large.

From an access and a competitive standpoint, I loved the fact that they expanded to 12 teams. Let more teams compete for the championship, including G5 teams like Boise State.

However the postseason so far has been a downgrade (with exception of having home teams host playoff games, which was cool). Not sure what the answer is.

Like someone said earlier, the top 4 teams should get a bye, no questions asked.

Arizona State deserved to make the CFP, but they had no business getting a bye.

Also, I feel like people had this fantasy where you were gonna get a Cinderella making a run like March Madness when in reality the Cinderellas are Ohio State and Notre Dame.

99% of the time the most talented teams are gonna win big in these early rounds, it’s not like basketball where an accounting major can shoot 60% from three and lead a team to a 15 over 2 upset.

They need to change it.

The first issue is the seeding. The Byes made sense when the big schools were more spread out. Now, all the Big-Money Football Schools are in the SEC, Big 10, with 3 in the ACC + ND. It doesn't.

Teams who lost the SEC, Big 10 CCG are getting easier matchups than teams who won them
