I don't know how McDermott isn't a first rounder in THIS draft

most years no...but your telling me one of those teams late in the first round couldn't use an elite shooter who can get you a few rebounds?

I mean he's nothing more than a rotation player like 7th or 8th guy...but the shooting will translate...he's going to measure out close to 6'8

he's a huge liability on defense for sure and can't really create his own shot off the dribble

but at least you know what he is...he can shoot, get a few boards, and he's got some crafty post moves that will generate space...at the very least you know he won't completely bust

there's guys on this list that I don't know if they can do anything of value in the league
Sounds like Kyle Kover and yeah I could see him going between 18-30 but I think he might stay in school with his pops till his eligibility is done

Marcus smart has the highest celling IMO thou he prolly needs another year at college too like pretty much the whole list :bryan:

I like Marcus's all around game and if he reaches his potential he'll be a problem as a point guard at that size. He may have a little trouble if he's moved to the two spot but even their I think he will be ok in time but at the one he'll excel because not to many pg's can contend with that size.

Len needs the weight room, the skills, size, footwork and coordination are there. He just has to get a lot stronger, he has the frame to put on weight the question is will he?

I've seem flashes from Len but I still think he will be a project in the league with a high chance of being a bust. But since he is from ACC country I will root for him to succeed.

Exactly...he's one of the few players in this draft that can actually create his own shot.

Fukk it...he creates his own offense better than McClemore and that dude is supposed to go 2nd. :beli:

This draft is HORRIBLE, Ben McLemore is the number 2 prospect? :scusthov:

:rudy: Once he gets a handle he's an all star. He's bad at creating because he was just playing the post a few years ago.

the draft is all about potential, not what white glue guys can do at mid majors. otherwise Duke players would all go 1st round

That's all well and good...but there might be ten players in this entire draft that have the potential to be anything more than a role player. McDermott with no devolpment will be a role player. He's an immediate shooter off the bench with some size. There's guys in that list even if I'm optimistic the best they'll do is find a skill to specialize in a couple years.

This is a brutal, brutal draft. Noel is the only guy listed in that top ten with a single elite skill (blocking). That's dreadful.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?

:upsetfavre: Stop constantly defending Kansas players, please run down the list of wing players that got handles later in life.

A great dribble is something you either have by your senior year in HS, or you never have it at all.

He's never had to use his handle. In HS he played with Quinn Cook. In our system the wings aren't asked to create. Barnes is a cat that like Ben played the post early and wasn't good at creating but he got better at it. He'll never be Dwyane Wade but he will improve at it.

Barnes is 6"8 230lbs, McLemore is 6"5 195, him not having a great handle is much more detrimental to his long term potential than Harrison.

The best 2 guards in the NBA have good to great handles, and they all had them long before they were 20 years old. McLemore is going to be a player in the league that needs others to set him up.

I don't even think his handle is the most worrisome part of his game. He has a tendency to disappear & that won't fly for a potential top 5 pick.

He's not a bad player, the issue is that if he's the 1st or 2nd pick, the draft is REALLY bad. He would have gone 7-10 last year.

You won't get any disagreement from me on that subject. I think it gets a lot of criticism though because next year looks to be so loaded of a draft. There will be some contributors in this draft.
