. Dude missed the entire plan
Tbh I don't even know where Fujimoto is going with this. I mean, Denji has been in a funk since Nayuta died. We have mentioned the issue of that impact lacking the impact Power & Aki dying in part 1.Wtf are we even reading. Dude missed the entire plan

. To add Asa has been sidelined since Denji came back as the Mc.I've been a big proponent that CSM is best read as a binge or at least by the arc, but damn...this was the arc we built up to all of Part 2, and the comedy is carrying it whenever Asa and Yoru are off screen.Tbh I don't even know where Fujimoto is going with this. I would have thought Asa would have been the motivating factor to push him out of it. But he is still like this. To add Asa has been sidelined since Denji came back as the Mc.

You would think part 2 would be how Denji grows, but Fujimoto is like, fukk that, how about some more Denji suffering?. On one hand, Nayuta getting murked and Denji being in a spiral make sense, as he is at his lowest point he has ever been in the series. But that was 50 chapters ago, man. We need something, and I thought Asa would be someone to help pull out of it, but Fujimoto is likeI just want to see how the series ends. What's the point in this manga?![]()
bytch got passed around all over the world and only gave Denji some mid-polaroid front viewfukking std devil I can’t![]()

I still enjoy the manga because the concept of various devils and whatnot is still interesting at the very least. Like the Age Devil arc was really cool conceptually. Unless Fujimoto has some big brain plot twist coming out, I don't think there is anything to save Part 2.
this is Fuji's style breh.
I'm not tryna see Denji fall into the "power of friendship" or whatever generic shounen growth path people are expecting. He never cared about that shyt and imo that's the most realistic aspect of this whole story.Nah, I haven't read Fire Punch yet. CSM & Look Back is the only Fujimoto stuff I have seen or read so far.I thought you read FirePunchthis is Fuji's style breh.
What's Denji supposed to grow into? His only goal has always been regular life shyt, if he randomly decided he wanted to be a superhero just for the sake of being good that'd be corny as hell imoI'm not tryna see Denji fall into the "power of friendship" or whatever generic shounen growth path people are expecting. He never cared about that shyt and imo that's the most realistic aspect of this whole story.
unless we get introduced to a Devil-Devil that controls the existence of the whole system there really is no solid end point, a devil somewhere is always gonna be on some fukkshyt. It's kinda like JJK in that regard, there's no catch-all solution to be had in either story it's just gonna end with nikkas still doing the same type of work.
The most we can hope for is some kind of resolution about Poochitas existence and why he in particular was always so important, not Denji just magically becoming less horny.
Honestly, I think Denji is even worse. He had Pochita at the start of the series, at least. And after chapter 1, he met Makima, who gave him hope. What does Denji have for hope now? You can say these chapters are supposed to highlight, but we got the picture at this point. He basically is going through the motions.Part one had obvious marks of growth for Denji, including how he dealt with his horniness.
- Reze taught Denji to value autonomy. He almost ran away with her.
- After the International Assassins arc, Denji chose his familial relationship with Power over a horny trip with Makima.
- Then Denji's fight with Makima felt like a clear sign that he was getting the freedom Makima kept dangling and taking away from him. He literally ate the control devil and started raising her replacement.
I think the real issue is that Denji's story basically completed. He had his normal life, and it's actually hella interesting that he was bored out of his mind when that was all he had. But it didn't lead to anything particularly new or interesting. We just circled back to the beginning of CSM and erased the progression.
Asa came in and I think her parts of the story were more fun and interesting because she did actually grow and develop as a character. But any time we move off the best character in Part Two, Asa/Yoru, this shyt just feels flat. I don't mind "I wanna touch boobs" Denji, or the comedy of it. But Jesus Christ, we just got 10 panels of the same panty shot followed by a speech from the STD devil.
That's two chapters worth of space dedicated almost entirely to fan service. While the only plot development was just exposition. Shave off four panty-shots and give us a look at Yoru with some dead Devil Hunters and some devils behind her at least.
