In fairness, I kinda feel like Part 2 has gone in a direction that Fujimoto wanted all along. He's happy expressing himself via these characters and doing all this chaos and purposely repetitive cycles. It's just not an engaging reading experience at this point.

Gege on the other hand literally lost the plot and couldn't figure out how to get it back before giving up completely

I feel you, Fuji has already written so many different styled stories and made them work there's no way he clapped himself like Gege


Im fine with Denji being one dimensional, i think it's the supporting cast that hurt part 2 more

There should've been WAY more comedy/fukkery with Asa before this war devil shyt got outta hand. The way she killed the class pet felt like classic CSM


Same with fumiko and her karaoke scene


All of the other supporting characters were duds imo i cant even name half them nikkas, Yoshida was a huge fail, dude did nothing of note and died weak as hell, what was the point of bringing him back



You had aki/power/kishibe/kobeni all being entertaining and worth a damn in part 1

How the fukk there's no way to make sense of everything in 2 chapters with where it's currently at

This whole part 2 ended up being just as pointless as JJK Modulo and in Fujimoto's case it makes even less sense because he's already proven he can make different stories and be successful, why drag out CSM if he knew nothing about it was gonna improve on part 1.


Everybody wanna be Oda and Araki not realizing both of them embedded elements to make their stories work long-term from the very beginning.

Denji getting cheeks isn't a sustainable long term motivation, he could've gone to a brothel ages ago if we being serious

This is Fujimoto's culling games, whatever plan he had for this part fell flat early with how slow the story went, fumiko was cool and a typical deranged chick type of way but everyone else is forgettable and the whole chainsawman imposter plot was confusing and boring at the same time. We should've stuck with Denji working at the agency with new fiends and agents

I walked away from this latest chapter thinking the characters head getting chopped off lost it's impact a long time ago, damn near everyone regenerates at a high rate so what's the point in doing it anymore

And some of these panels are just too wild for me to understand what ever happened

if Mappa is smart they ask fuji to rewrite the beginning of part 2 and cut alot of the fluff out

You know, I genuinely thought he was gonna turn it around with this recent set of chapters. I was completely wrong; you were dead on. This is exactly the feeling I got reading the Culling Games. All my favorite manga have shytty endings

He might be setting up a part 3, but imo this one was so bad he'd have to put up some major points in the next 2 chapters to keep people believing. I also thought he was gonna turn it around but none of this shyt felt like endgame material when it started atleast with the gun devil shyt you could already tell confronting Makima was the end goal.


This shyt just felt aimless as hell.

JJK really soaked up the criticism for how bad chainsaw man part 2 has been

once denji became a major player again the quality nose dived and that was relatively quickly into it

just a bunch of flash no substance moments, introductions of characters and never really fleshing them out, denji's complete lack of development as a character where there is no excuse to get as braindead manipulated as he consistently does unless he is an actual high support needed autistic
