Not necessarily true. Some people get therapy and seek mental health help before you meet them. If you are with a woman who has been through trauma she should have been in therapy or currently going otherwise you're definitely right about that.
That is a red flag.
If I hear “I was raped/abused some other horrible thing etc” 2 things cross my mind.

especially when the alcohol hits, they get into a Robin Williams bag of emotional displays.
the worst part is, its more common than you think. like 6 out of 10 women were raped or abused sexually at some point in their life
