for $150 :beli:

give me that Chinese $40 pair :blessed:

sorry America.
I think the only way we can practically bring any manufacturing back to America is to make all manufacturing jobs in tech. So no laborers, and very few employees per factory.

You simply can't compete with countries that use slavery like China or have their employees who do earn actual money working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week with no overtime. So the only plausible solution is an automated factory with a handful of Engineers and technicians running the machines. And a very lean administrative team in an office.

But at this point it kind of defeats the purpose of bringing manufacturing jobs back because most people think manufacturing means that a lot of people are going to be hired the way they are in Vietnam or China or even 1960s Detroit . But it just isn't practical.

With any brand it’s about quality of materials and construction.

Yeah you can get $40 sweatpants and sweatshirts if you don’t mind it being polyester or some synthetic fiber blend.

If you’re getting long staple cotton…ring spun…loopwheel…high GSM… it’s gonna run you well over $100.
You sound easily finessed.

Going to the right barbershop will always have you dressing for less.

We used to run through their sweat suits because as soon as they touched the washing machine...game over... shrunk a full size and the fit was gone. Very poor quality threads. I managed to save a couple by stretching like they were rubber bands them as soon as they came out the washer but unless they use better quality threads :camby:

Champion has become a premium brand these days; in the last 15+ years, its popularity has risen at least in America, especially with younger people (mid-30s and below).

I'm not familiar with whether they're popular outside of the US. I believe they're owned by Hanes, which might've contributed to their brand resurrection.

They're somewhat on the same level as Supreme in terms of marketing, but slightly more affordable. They make a lot of flashy hoodies, puffer jackets, packable windbreakers, etc, it's crazy, but their logo is somewhat iconic, like Nike's, which I think played a part in their popularity, y'know, things written in cursive are always gonna entice people.
