after listening to the whole album he reminds me a lot of how K'naan was when he started out. breaks out into singing, nice flows, weird close to annoying voice but it works, different style. one of the better albums/mixtapes from the year so far IMO not top 5 or anything but it's good. sometimes his beats are amateurish, i think i hear some stock Reason sounds in there at times and re working samples from old classics but overall it's good.

The reworking samples thing is kind of a new trend I feel like.. not necessarily amateur.

the amateur feeling is more from the reason sounds and loops rather than reworking the old samples, i like how they switched up a few of them
