I thought we all knew what an industry plant is?

Someone that not just labels but those who putting real money into these labels, use to push there bullshyt agenda. To dictate where the sheep keep walking to. I know we have people who don't like to feed into "conspiracies" because they want cold hard facts and shyt like that. They want to physically see in writing, about these facts. But you gotta be hella naive if you think that there isn't people behind these media outlets & things of that nature pushing that bullshyt into these kids to dictate where they want them to go.

Idk why people act like it's not true; when someone is on top of the rap game, people start getting down with their "movement" because they dont wanna be that corny person who isn't down

You got not only kids but grown ass people imitating these people so they can be cool or seen as "down"

Remember when that whole rockstar shyt popped off? :gag:

Or how Drake came in the game and made it softer then baby shyt

Or how Keef blow up and had nikkas on some next level stupidity just so they can be seen as hardcore thugs or what not. Ya think Keef really blew up cuz he was hot like that?? Jojo buzz was a bit bigger in the Chi before he got clapped. It benefits these money hungry muthaphuckas to see kids looking up to these idiots so they can keep putting money in they pockets when they go to jail.

And the ones who don't like that rugged shyt get swept under that feminine bullshyt. Got kids and grown ass men wearing women clothing because it's what's "in"

It benefits these money hungry muthaphuckas too see the youth feminized and too strung out on lean and mollies to stand up for something

I get some people on this board like to go against what the Coli says or what ever but if you can't see what a label plant is then you just don't want to see it.

Gang violence...
for the record, im not against this guy. i just listened to that acid rain and he seems like his content is borderline "conscious" so i wont hate on that. still, it looks like he did not come up through any type of local hip hop scene, which makes this all weird cuz the dude is not really paying dues but is getting a major push

Y'all is a lot of people I'm not a part of so let's get that out the way first.

And obviously he has some kinda fans since you have people like @Sensitive Blake Griffin defending his come up or whatever. I'm ASSUMING, people are confused by his "buzz" because he basically dropped one tape and has been all over these magazines and at the top of these lists when a great majority haven't heard his tape let alone, know immediate friends and things of that nature who also never heard of him.

I seen just one person which was @gatorking who said his lil sis actually was trying to put him on to chance a few years back

That's a minority to the majority who are on other forums and blogs who are just as confused as Coli posters as to how this nikka is supposedly "hot" enough to have the best album be the rookie of the year and etc when most have never really heard of this guy.

Trust that the agenda isn't fallen on deaf ears because he obviously is gathering fans as they continue to fabricate his buzz.

it's pretty obvious that he's being pushed by some label as the next to blow. i gave acid raps a spin after seeing his name pop up everywhere out of no where and it's ok after one listen but really not my cup of tea. the hypebeast hippies, drug users and dikk hopping hot rappers crowd will eat this up tho.

i love hip hop but the culture has really gone to shyt :snoop: the fans are some of the worst as well. probably 3rd behind country and rock fans.

I know this is buried on page 9 but if you guys need help figuring out where this guy's hype came from it is simple

Pitchfork is miles and miles ahead of any other music publication for breaking new indie artists. All they need to do is slap a Best New Music tag on something and they will have readers flocking. Chance the Rapper is from Chicago, Pitchfork headquarters. Pitchfork is well known to ride hard for certain Chicago acts (Kanye especially).

It has snowballed from there and lots of indie sites are praising him. It is young, white, indie rock loving kids listening to it who don't listen to rap other than Kanye and Kendrick Lamar. Its not a mystery. I personally don't like him even though I fit the demographic because he isn't a good rapper, I have been listening to Hip Hop for too long to let critic opinions influence me. But I understand.

which is funny to me because everyone I know enjoys his music and everyone I've introduced him to has enjoyed his stuff.

I'm listening to "AcidRap" right now, for the first time, because of this thread, and I think it's raw as hell. I literally had never heard any of his music before today, and now Im really diggin his style. The industry didn't do it, thecoli did. However, i don't see anything wrong with him getting a push from whoever. Why is that a bad thing?

They're in on it, brehs :troll:

I legitimately enjoy Chance's unique style. Acid Rap is one of the most well produced mixtapes I've ever heard. I don't care if most people on this forum don't like him. I like that sing-song rap shyt, reminds me of that dude from pharcyde or cee-lo. How can you not enjoy cocoa butter kisses? or everybody's somebody?
