i think i outgrew this nikka's music. this is the most meh shyt i've heard this year. it's not bad, but it's not very good either, and I don't see myself coming back to any of these tracks so far.

If he keeps it concise with decent beats and good features, why not check it out? It's not like he can't rap, he just made some wonky creative choices after Acid Rap and said a LOT of goofy shyt. He was better off doing his charity work, keeping the posting to a minimum and focus on making a breakout debut album like Good Kid, Mad City. Instead we got Coloring Book, and then The New Day and that was it lol

Theres a few great tracks on here but it’s not a very cohesive album. It feels way less polished than 10 day, acid rap and coloring book.
Like whats the story here. Usually when someone goes on a 6 year hiatus you expect them to get a bit deeper into their personal growth rather than continue to focus on political or world issues

In retrospect it’s pretty obvious why jay elec never had a shot at blowing up. He’s such a one trick pony, those early just blaze samples carried hard for him
