I don’t go back and listen to a lot of albums after the first listen but that doesn’t make them complete garbage. I went into this expecting pure trash and it wasn’t that for me.

The problem is not him being happy and him loving his wife but him making bad music lately.
Most of the classic soul singers just sang about love and stuff on every tracks but it still worked and sounded less corny than anything on this album because of their talent for singing and their taste for good music.

Not a big chance fan but the album was pretty good to me. Sounds like all the other chance songs Ive heard so not sure why folks acting like it's so different from his other material. Some of yall just follow the herd without independent thought.

He went the pity route today. Knowing Chance the odds of him handling all the negative reviews well were always slim. I get it, his career took a hard unexpected left over the last 10 days and he's in shock. He never thought in a million years he'd get outsold by a Christian rapper not named Lecrae. But you can't go begging with fake suicide tweets.

the first track w/ john legend was soooo bad. should've been left off the album or been a "bonus" track or target exclusive or something lol.

it being panned so badly has made me curious. everything he touched before people went crazy over. ive only heard coloring book but i loved it.

Haven't listened to the album yet. He has always got a lot of hate on here so not surprised to see that. Somewhat surprised to see that hate sort of widespread outside here. I guess people were/are getting sick of seeing him on TV, in the news and in ad spots? I dunno. He once had damn near 100% approval rating so this is probably shocking to him.
