ariza is a better fit for the rockets than parsons. the biggest difference is ariza can actually play defense to make up for harden. parsons scored but he let jeff green go off too.
Chandler's way younger (a plus for 82 game season). Ariza coming off a contract year, expect a decline
Ariza has played more than 60% of a season about half his career and played a full season a total of ONCE in 08-09.
yeah i don't see how we're missing him. ariza is the perfect SF for the rockets, 3 and D and for half the money
. when he first signed 5 years ago he was trying to do too much, dribbling the ball and facilitating offense. he was a turnover machine because he has no handles. he's still like that (tried to take on a sixer last night and he dribbled the ball off his leg), but now he knows his strengths and those are once in a while. but that three point stroke is 
and i think ariza's slumps will be less frequent than parsons, he's not a streak shooter like parsons who can be inconsistent with his release with that ugly form of his.

You don't miss role players. 
and having said about how ariza is perfect for us, parsons is perfect for them too. he's a great slasher and can shoot the 3. he could easily avg 20 for them. his defense hasn't been good since his rookie year though.
