DeAndre knows he "safe" in LA.

He thought about games being on the line in Dallas and him bricking free thos.

In LA he can hide behind cp3, Blake, Pierce, the blame will never be placed solely on his shoulders.

@The Taxman ......am I lying?:yeshrug:

Could also say he was gonna have to work hard for that money on Dallas compared to LA. No pg to create open looks. Got an old ass PF that can't rebound nor play defense. So DJ was gonna have to do the work of 2 big men. Then on top of that as you said the Dallas media were gonna ride him like no tomorrow every time the team struggled.

fukk that......as they say in corporate America the goal is to work smart not work hard. Hell in real life no one wants a job where you got to do twice as much work as everyone else and get twice the blame. If you can get the same salary or more money doing less you take that job.

Hate when people start accusing athletes of being "scared". Such a weak response: "He didn't do what I wanted him to do so he must have been afraid".

Understand why he's upset but he needs to get over himself...

I think it's hilarious that Dallas was/is using a role player to try and recruit players to play for the Mavs :deadrose:

At least have Dirk do the recruiting.aint nobody trying to build nothing with Chandler fukking Parsons :mjlol:
Dirk's done enough for this franchise, Cuban owes him millions on top of millions for the sacrifices he's made only for Cuban not to come through. IMO this is the chickens coming home to roost after Cuban's bytching about CP3 & the Lakers a few years ago.

I feel him.. I've been wanting dj to get the looks a Dwight gets, just cause I think he could do a lot more with them... Crazy he ain't wanna go seize the opportunity, for better or worse.. Meh.. We'll see the clips probably give him a few more dump downs every blue moon, but as long as cp3 there expect more of the same pnr pnr... :yeshrug:

and here's why us laker fans laugh at the rest of you when we're talking about big men. The rest of you dont know what they look like. You may have been lucky to get one in like 30 years. If that. so you have no idea what a great bib man looks like. anyone ESPN is hyping as great. you think they're great. anyone that jumps high, blocks some shots based on hops not shot blocking instincts, and grabs rebounds, catches lobs, must be a great big. i told yall when dwight was in orlando that with all his abilities, his post game is suspect. and DJ's is ever worse. Just because the nba is super weak at the center position doesnt mean these guys are great players. it means their position is so weak you can now grade them vs wack talent. which makes them look better under that flawed light. DJ cant be compared to any great centers. DJ cant even be compared to 2 bad knees andrew bynum when he was a laker. lets not forget that dude with two bad wheels was spanking DJ every time they met up.

This is why its so funny when all the talkers were saying HA HAA when the lakers went after DJ and DJ's people said the interview didnt go well. Of course it didnt. cause unlike cuban. the lakers no better. sure we would like you for what you do. not for who you THINK you are(dwight 2.0). This fool DJ makes request to be a main focus of the offense. Mitch and jim looks and laughs at the man. you cant be a focal point when you dont have any moves and you cant even hit 60% from the ft line. get outta here with that nonsense. and for DJ's sake he did get outta here. he got way up outta there(Dallas). and went back to his comfort zone like parsons said. Because he realized i only look good on offense because of chris paul. lets keep it 150.

Cp3 got that man paid and had yall non laker fans believing this guy was a star. NO HE ISNT. he's a solid role player.

Former Maverick fan here. DJ made the right decision for himself----something about the Mavs didn't feel right obviously. He knew it was best to stay among his family of bruthas, even if they're not perfect. This situation is much deeper than a player changing his mind and I wouldn't expect Cacs to even overrstand. This is about culture and comfort. Times are changing and it's on time. DJ wouldn't have been comfortable in Dallas, as the Mavs organization has continually shown disloyalty to their players for years, even before their Championship. After helping Dallas to the WC finals in 2003, NVE was thrown under the bus and MC didn't have the common courtesy to give him a call. NVE was pissed. The following year, MC let Steve Nash walk after being loyal and having a hand in pulling the Mavs from the ranks of the laughing stock of the NBA. He treated the Canadian like a junkyard dog. Mark Cuban has been rejected by the following free agents: Alonzo Mourning, Tyson Chandler, Dwight Howard, Gortat, Deron Williams, Al-Farouq Aminu, Monta Ellis, DeAndre Jordan, Michael Redd, Jason Kidd, Carmelo Anthony, etc. He hasn't landed one big fish in 15 years as a owner. The question becomes, 'Why can't Cuban land a big free agent?' 'Why are the big FA's passing up Dallas? Hmmm.....MC making comments about being scared of a black man in a hoodie did wonders for recruiting tier 1 players. All of the tier 1 black players have jumped ship and the tier 2 and 3 are happy to be getting paid. Amar'e Stoudemire will be signing with the Heat. What really happen between Carlisle (who I never liked) and Rondo? What's wrong with Dallas peeps? The elephant in the room nobody wants to address...stay tuned. Formers players will start talking in a min.
Good move DJ. :myman:

And so it begins! The championship center Tyson Chandler up first. http://www.tmz.com/2015/07/11/tyson-chandler-chandler-parsons-is-butthurt-over-deandre/

i don't even care, i just hate how some are giving him a pass for his cowardice just b/c he's 1. black 2. cuban hate. cuban has never been a coward. at least he'll publicly put his stamp on his opinions. smh at this oaf hiding in his momma bossom till midnight b/c he's shook to make a phone call. even 16 yr old recruits know better to call all the coaches that recruited them to let them down about their college choice. where is this fakkit's manners?
Its business. Teams don't warn or give players the heads up about getting traded to a team they dont want to play for or getting waived. The rest of your post talks to emotions or some respect that is never reciprocated and doesnt really carry any weight in this business.

You don't judge others' character by their words? I guess you're someone who doesn't put a high degree of importance on character. Words and actions are all anyone has by which to size you up. By saying a handshake means nothing, and DJ was justified in bailing on the Mavs, you just effectively implied that if you gave someone your word, you'd have no problem backing out if it's in your best interest to do so, regardless of how badly you screwed the person you gave your word to. In other words, unless there is something legally binding you to a commitment, your word is worthless & untrustworthy. Words matter. Actions matter. Don't talk to me about business. You exposed yourself as someone who has no idea about making business deals. 90% of business deals in this country are initiated informally thru handshakes. There is a reason what DJ did has rarely happened in the league; most men don't approach business with the integrity of a Nigerian con-artist.

You can believe what you want but that loyalty stuff is only ever seen in the movies- that's why people review contracts and make sure that every single clause is important.

At the time DJ had a verbal understanding with the Mavs, he must have sincerely thought that he was making the right decision but a few days later he came to the realisation that he wasnt - signing for the Mavs after this realisation would have been doing a disservice to himself and any self respecting human being would never do that to themselves.

Relationships are important but understand that you are not dealing with friends or family.
I have been involved in a lot of deal negotiations as part of my current and previous job: best believe that if circumstances or people's feelings change, one party or both will and do pull out of the deal despite the commitments that they have made. It hapens all the damn time and everywhere.

Again, regarding the NBA, teams have no loyalty towards the players. They are more like pawns vs. people with feelings - players get discussed without their knowledge and sometimes find out that they have been traded the same time the whole world does- on the radio, TV or twitter. Within a few hours, they are expected to have ditched their fam and homes to move to some other place they never thought about living in. Cuban knows this too well and he should take this L like a man. Props to DJ for looking after himself and not signing on to a deal that he realised he didnt want just because someone's feelings on the Coli will get hurt. Besides, the Mavs werent completely in the dark and surely knew that the deal wasnt done before the signing - a lot can change with daylight and if they somehow forgot this, they were being stupid
