My mistake. To me, the first sentence implied it. Every career path is filled with troubles.
Consistent work with decent pay as a musician or writer? Tough. I will still do it but what I'm saying is. I can't use it as a croutch to raise my value.
The music industry is fake and trash. People just looking for the next hot controversial thing.
I mean we got talentless ex whores who dont even write their own lyrics on top, winning grammys and misguiding the youth (Cardi B) People that cant even rap getting millions of views (Blue face), drug addicts who mumble rap...and I could go on.

As an artist all you can really do is create and find a way to promote your stuff. YouTube and such.
If fame ends up coming your way it will be the 1 song that strikes out of nowhere. Not the fact that you sit down and say "this is gonna be my HIT" and force it to come together.
If you're creating with pure intent then youll do your best work. Forget about everything beyond the technical aspect of making dope art.... during the process of making the art. If you wanna put on the promoter hat AFTER you have your body of work, then you can pick a few to really push or whatever.
But product is the name of the game. You have to make that one song that blows. And you won't be able to decide which one. You just have to keep taking shots
