:what: if the heat got Lowry and gortat they right back to the favorite

I don't get why people so stuck on names and stars equaling rings. Didn't Miami just get ran off the floor by a better "team" you need pieces that fit. You lose bosh but bring in melo who is basically just another bron/wade type of player you don't fix the perimeter defense, you not fixing the rebounding you not fixing the bench production and with melo bron and wade eating up so much of the cap you will have very little ways to fix them.

If I'm Miami that's what I'm trying to fix. Put a damn team together . Stop with the superfriends shyt it worked for 2 titles because the league couldn't catch up, but we see how it ends.

Agree with your overall premise but there was absolutely nothing "superfriends" about the last two seasons. This team was built around the idea that you would have Bron/Wade/Bosh giving you 70-80pts a night on their own and the role players would just have to fill in the other 20-30. Wade and Bosh were not able to consistently hold up their end and it finally bit them in the ass. It's going to be interesting to see if they take a page out of the Spurs playbook and look to be a deeper all around team rather than Big 3 or bust.

A better offensive system was installed though. Remember Spo's first year. I think this is about the best he can do. Bron needs help. He can be depended on having to score 30-40 a game for them to have a chance.

Y'all have mentioned it, but it needs to be said again; Bosh has to be moved back into the 4 and be made option 1B w/Bron. He's still TOO talented to be used like Brian Cook. One thing Miami can't do is overreact this offseason. They are STILL the best team in the East and 2nd best team in the league; address the needs and be careful not to overspend.

oden's career is done. i'd rather give his roster spot to someone who can give the team at least 10-15 productive minutes. beasley is worth keeping, though.
It's the Blazer fan in me that wants to see him succeed. Maybe try him out in summer league and see how he holds up.
