I never pay more than $35 for a game

Certain games are day one though like mass effect... Kingdom hearts...final fantasy...etc...and I pay 48 via amazon. (No tax)

I used to be with the day one crew. Getting hyped about a game through the months/years of marketing then running out day one and buying it or even preloading it digitally. Then I end up with a bunch of games I paid a premium price for that I don't even have time to play.

I changed this year. Yeah I still get hyped about the games, but I'm no longer buying them day 1.

With the way games are being released now all buggy and half finished, and the fact that they go on sale relatively quick, you have to be an idiot to be standing in line day one.

If you wait a couple weeks/months you will undoubtedly get a better game, at a better price. There's literally no reason to buy a game day one other than lack of self control or stupidity.

It sucks seeing y'all talk about games like Gears, Dishonored, and Titanfall, but I'm having fun with what I got, and I will play those games eventually as the prices go down. Another advantage is that by the time I buy them, the dlc should be out so I can play it all at once, as opposed to finishing the game then going back months later to play the dlc.


TL/DR. Buying games day one is for suckas, wait a while and get the better deal/experience

I've been like this the last couple of years. By the time I get around to games, I'm getting them from Amazon used for about 20 bucks or so. Unless of course I get a good deal like on Black Friday where I got Tomb Raider and BF1 together for 45 bucks. I'm gonna wait a bit until that Final Fantasy drops and then I'll scoop it up for about 25 or so. That's the only way to do it.

I changed my gaming habits to just playing shyt that interests me and It's on a massive sale.

I'm older now, my focus is on my career, making money and hitting up women. I'm not dedicating hours to understand a game if it doesn't catch my interest quickly.

My friends at work are going nuts over FFXV. I watched a review and listened to these corny ass characters:

Emo 1:wow a generator
Emo 2: yeah let's see if it works
Emo 2: hey light
Emo 1: boy I sure do love me some light


I'm not paying $50 (on sale) for that shyt. Plus they just announced they're going to ADD parts of the story to chapter 13 so it makes sense. So if I play through it now I'm gonna see some half-assed mess? PLUS they say you have to watch some Anime movie so the story makes sense? The god damn game was in development since '06. What were they running out of procrastination?

I bought The Division for PC for $9. It runs like shyt and it's not that great. But it was $9 so I'm not mad I don't play it that much . If I had bought it for full price

I bought Titanfall 2, BF1 for PS4 and BF1 for XB1 on a B2G1 free deal. I was gonna flip them all but they dropped the prices so I just kept them and gave them to my roommate. They're fun and i'm not too upset I didn't sell since i paid less than retail. Those games are quick and fun I can get into that.


Can you imagine buying these bullshyt games and basically paying full price for a beta?

This has been true for a while but I don't always practice it. I could have waited for Battlefield 1 to be $35 on black friday but I wanted to play that shyt now and not 3 weeks later.

I've been on this ever sense I moved out and went to University and it stuck. I always just bought used games on the cheap because I was focused on saving money for school

The only games I bought were usually first party games i've been waiting on or certain RPGs. Pretty much everything else was when I spot it on the cheap. Other than buying random games for my gameplay reference library when designing/programming ....thats a main reason why I have a shyt ton of games

Once my neighborhood gets proper internet instead of sat internet

Gonna have my squad of kids playing bf1 together in the same squad
