So people saying that keeping Varajao would have been better? Really?

Frye will help them I think but they have to use him right. He and Love cant play much together I don't think. But he can help them stretch the floor even more. Don't know if it gets them a title unless they start to ball out together all of a sudden but I believe it does make them better.

It's clear that Channing Frye will be their stretch 4/5 off the bench and they need a big man that is a respectable midrange shooter in limited minutes. He serves a purpose. I like Varejao but his injuries have robbed him of what little athleticism he had, he was never a great scorer and he could no longer be effective on defense. The Cavs got something for nothing.

Kevin Love cannot play center even in small ball lineups, that is the point of them trading for Frye. Rather than having Tristan or Love at the 5, they can go with Frye which will pull the opposing big man from the rim and allow LeBron to play PF with 3 shooters on the floor to space it.

This isn't a glamorous trade, but if you've watched the Cavs in the past they have played James Jones at the small ball 5 just for spacing, Frye is still 6'11" 255lbs and can be used in a lot of different ways. It gives them flexibility to throw out a lot of different lineups that they haven't been able to try because Love doesn't have the length to defend while Mozgov & Tristan cannot shoot from the outside.

Ok, I didn't even think about that. But still, when Cleveland goes small, they are gonna give up alot of points. Especially against teams with bigs that will eat Fry alive at the 5. I see the strategy working now.

They don't care about no damn Varajeo they just using his name to spite Bron cause they think he traded him.

Dude barely touched the floor this season and now of a sudden people are advocating for him.
