If a tier is Drake, Kendrick, Cole, Future.

And you're saying the next tier is B tier that Keem is in. Who else is in that tier? I was obviously kidding about ob O'Brien
Thug, Gunna tier lol .. nikka Thig just did 50k.. Keem actually has fans he can do 50-90k first week

Thug has 29.8 million monthly listeners, gunna has 34.3 million, keem has less than15 million. That's not the same tier to me.

He not selling 50-90k records but I guess we'll see

You nikkas are so out of the loop
There is no world where Keem is close to Gunna in relevance, sales, success, etc. And he's about to learn he's not Kendrick: he can't disappear for years and then pop out to major success.

Let's see Keem do a rollout without a Kendrick feature this time, and see how it goes.

We gotta stop viewing everything through the lens of superstar success. Cole took those dudes (and lady) on multiple sold out arena tours, got them some singles that went gold, and a collab album that went gold. The more important story here is that Cole gave a bunch of artists an opportunity to create art, he never pressed them for radio records, they made multiple projects that fans loved, and when it was over he got them all paid. That's a success story. Using your leverage to help people instead of trapping some dudes in bad deals and having them bitter 10 years later.

It makes sense that CTG doesn't value this because he only values money and advancement. Nobody on Dreamville was a surefire star, lets be real. JID came in the game at damn near 30 years old. Ari Lennox wasn't built to be a star. Earthgang didn't make mainstream music. But if you liked the music why the fukk are you mad they didn't reach levels of success that were unlikely?

Right. More and more anyone just says whatever for content and we all have to debate these takes, which is exactly what they want. Who was going to be a star? Bas?

Exactly. I liked their roster but if I'm forced to think about this commercially....they didn't have the guys to break out, nor did they prioritize signing guys who could break out. Who is their Schoolboy Q, or ASAP Ferg? IE a guy who has hits/bangers, can tour as long as he wants and get festival gigs with ease? Ferg has two gold albums. Q has a double plat album and two gold albums.

Dreamville was more like a boutique label than Rocafella. Cole signed who he wanted with no emphasis on sales. He put out a bunch of albums he believed in, from artists he believed in. And to me that's more commendable than starting a label solely in order to find Drake or Carti clones.

Just playing. No labels signed me, so I released my own music. I'm responsible for my world.

J Cole doesn't owe anyone anything. He can try but they gotta run with what blessings they get.

I don't know the answers.

I do know that Charlemagne is a fake journalist and Big Boy's neighborhood is better than him.

Monthly listeners is the most retarded way to gauge music, Wiz Khalifa has 37.8 million monkey listeners would he sell more than Keem rn? They have that much because they have a huge catalogue and still drop. Keem would be around 20-25 million if he would drop lol

I bet it does 50k first week plus, and I’m not even a Keem guy like that
