Ghost writing/referencing for somebody is a different situation than creating a demo that gets used by somebody else. When I listen to QM I can tell the difference between him making songs for himself and making shyt for Drake.
As far as demo's go, just because you polish some shyt up doesn't mean you're a producer. He "remixed" Sweeter man with the original artist nowhere in sight (and then put a gag order on him) and didn't really improve the song. It might have been more radio friendly but he completely sapped the fun/swag out of the record.
His version being able to "hit" has less to do with his "production" skills (smh) and more to do with the fact that he's Drake...he's a fast food chain at this point. Same shyt with the Weeknd...you think he improved his "demos"?
