I am no fan of Charlamagne but he has a point. I also didnt see Kendrick's Control verse as a diss. I took it as im trying to take your spot....dethrone yall. Its a challenge. There's a difference. He precursored the line with I have love for you all but....right there he's saying there's respect. Disses = no respect/disrespect. Everyone is so ready to fly off the handle that they dont really listen to what's being said. Kendrick was issuing a challenge to those he sees as popular, successful, talented...isnt that what everyone in the game is trying to do? Rival the greats? Thats what makes the industry go round.
