I’ve posted this before, but I Remember a time when Black intellectuals like Amos Wilson, Dr. Ben, Ivan Van Sertima and other scholars WROTE BOOKS. Back when a panel of scholars, historians, and subject matter experts assembled by a publisher or academic institutions ensured that the work they published met high standards of academic integrity, accuracy, and relevance. Today’s “Black leaders” such as “Dr.” Umar, Tariq Nasheed, Charmalgne, provide ego & leadership via bite sized social media clips or being in a room full of idiots who make them look like the only smart one in the room. And thats enough to nourish many who have a short attention span.

We aint gonna make it.

On the episode after election day they were admonishing each of the cast who didn't vote. It's like no one actually listens the JBP, but they all have a ready made opinion of it, which is how this whole thing started.

I've always said that black America is the preview for the rest of society, and here we are. It's not just entertainers influencing the black community, this shyt is going on everywhere.

It's a hard pill to swallow but "intellectuals" and their cheerleaders need to catch up with the times. An entertainer has become President twice

I'm not even the Marc Lamont Hill guy but I think him and Budden were brilliant for linking up. MLH understood what has elluded so many of these supposedly smart people. You gotta meet people where they are, and just succinctly make your views known. Not finger wagging and nagging nikkas from a hill. The fact that the left completely refuses to learn this is hilarious at this point

I've been vocal about my issues with "intellectuals" and their clear uselessness for a while now. If nikkas so smart why can't they apply some of that intelligence to getting seen and heard on their own volition?

I can point to prominent intellectual voices from 50-70 years ago and see the charisma and entertainment value they added. MLK was intellectual and captivating. Now you have a whole lotta of nikkas that read a whole lotta books and get mad when they're not compelling enough to listen to. Oh well:manny:

It was actually a great convo on the entire topic. Seems like alot of you are projecting based on discussions youve had on thecoli,or how youve seen intellectuals/boule talk to people. Bakari said the same "meet people where they are at" statement. Tiffany says she applauds people willing to do that. But on a personal level shes not interested in debating or trying to reach ignorant people who really arent curious about learning or listening. Plus just doesnt respect everyones opinion to even bother having a dialogue.


Yall just fell for Joe Budden pulling the woe is me card like hes being bullied,or hated on. They mostly didnt like how this show has Marc acting(out of character from their perception),or how he was dismissed when he mentioned his friends being murdered in Gaza.


Now you have Charlegmane playing the victim card like Roland came at him wrong and shouldve been more accurate and gentle with his words. nikka,were you accurate and gentle with Lil Mama:gucci:?


This is what ignorant folks do. Get loud and boisterous when you challenge them intellectually. Because they dont really wanna have a debate with you,being that they know the outcome#Blender.


So they play the humble card,just to buy time until they can be loud,bold and arrogantly wrong another day. If ignorant people were ever genuineley humble after being challenged or corrected,id have a different opinion. But humility is usually just a mechanism to buy time and save themselves from embarrasment in the short term.


Its imperetive that you humble and crush the ignorant while you have them dead to rights.:respect:
