I’m Jamaican so of course I fukk with plantains, they’re basically our yams. Grew up eating them. But yeah if you’re not Caribbean or Latino, I wouldn’t expect you to fukk with them.

Chinese (although overrated asf I can't lie it's hood classic)

Plantains are okay, they’re good with certain dishes (bonus if the dish is on the spicy side of things) but I’ve never gotten that much into the hype over them from Island and West African nikkas. I prefer sweet potatoes/candied yams at the end of the day
