Negativity (Kayfabe)
Nah dawg, he's not RESPONSIBLE for people killing over his shoes, let's be real. Give me some credit, B.

But he's CULPABLE, IMO. Like (again, IMO), why he ain't go to Nike years ago and say "yo, lower the price of themshyts, so that poor people can AFFORD them instead of treating them as unattainable assets readily worthy of stealing/killing for..."

Shaq got shoes in KMART for crying out loud. MJ couldn't knock $100 off his shoe prices for the sake of the poor communities (which, admittedly, don't SOLELY involve Black people)?

He CERTAINLY could have done that. He chose not to a long time ago.

Now....if you want to disagree with me that he's not at least THAT much culpable, then yeah, we can stop here and agree to disagree. No biggie.

Also, I refuse to entertain arguments from people in here who (a) haven't read the whole thread and are getting my position "piecemeal", and (b) who only see what they want in my responses.

nikkas on here kill me, if somebody doesn't conform to YOUR worldview, they're c00ns and haters and such....you nikkas live in THE SMALLEST bubbles ever.

First of all; chill. I've read through the thread. And your point was to criticize Michael Jordan. You blamed his business practices for the violence at his shoe releases.

#2, You're turning isolated events into trends. That happened a few times. But, because it was MJ, it made for news stories.

#3, Comparing Shaq's shoes prices makes no sense. You may as well bring up Al Harrington. I could go on and on about the basis of capitalism--but, I won't. This is a clear case of "don't hate the player, hate the game." We love to criticize Jay-Z and Puff Daddy, (for example) but, never bring up the names of the guys over them. And the same guys who've created an environment where you have to do some of unsavory things to move up. In the name of capitalism; it'll make no sense to drop the prices. Brand Jordan/NIKE isn't running a charity, it's a business.

#3, That brings me to my biggest point; Jordans are tools. Basketball shoes millionaires run around and train and perform in.

The real issue here is why can't ppl just go; I can't afford those, so I'll get more affordable shoes?

This bothers me because, it's a whole lot easier just to blame one guy. Because, you then skip the actual economic and psychological issues that makes a person kill over sneakers.

Ppl have been inflicted, by that, before Jordan was even born. Take Jordans off of the sales racks and those problems exist.

Chuck got tired of MJ's punk ass always c00nin' it up and started talking about it in public, and MJ cut him off because of it.

So :salute: to Chuck for calling Cheese Eyes out like that. He's a disgrace to the Black community, and this is coming from someone who idolized him growing up and STILL has about 30% of my wardrobe devoted to Jordan wear.
you really think this republican self hating negro charles barkley cares about black people :usure:. look at his opinions on any crime against black people

As long as Mike has Oakley he's good. I'm sure Mike is cool with a lot of people, but I doubt he gives a fukk about close friendships like that.

MJ's nowhere near a c00n....c00ning to me is actively speaking out against the black community. For example, pushing republican talking points which ironically Chuck loves to do :mjpls:. When has MJ spoke out to the detriment of other blacks? Yea he hasnt taken any stances either but the nikka's neutral so fukking what :manny:. Dont expect celebrities to raise ur kids and u wont have a problem.

I knew this would come up. I was BORN AND RAISED IN NC and Harvey Gantt was NEVER going to win. This doesn't make MJ is a disgrace to the Black Community because someone he didn't know wanted and endorsement from the most popular dude on the planet. Maybe he didn't like Harvey Gantt like many other Black people in NC didn't that year. Is this all you got, give us another situation where MJ proved he's a disgrace other than shoes and Harvey Gantt. Because i can upload about 10 years worth of tickets to the Michael Jordan Celebrity Golf Tournament he held every year after the season in Greenville, NC where all the money raised went to the Ronald McDonald House and Barkley actually played in them, lol....

The two party system doesn't care about black people period. Those saying MJ is a democrat as if it is some sort of black panther status are brainwashed. The democratic party might support a few cheap entitlement programs in exchange for votes from blacks/Latinos but they are still the driving force behind housing segregation in major cities. Drive out to Malibu and see all of the democrats in their multimillion dollar homes and ask them how much they really care about minorities. Goldman Sachs donated the most money to Obamas campaign in 2012. So it really doesn't matter that MJ is a democrat.

Why are you guys getting on MJ or any other black celeb to speak on social issues?
If you guys want change, than seek to take action yourself, instead of attacking guys like MJ.

Yep... Chuck is definitely a man of the 'people'
:sas2:

I said most cacwomen age like bread in the :youngsabo: thread

Jesus of Nazareth. :scusthov:

Chuck is the last person who should knock anyone for caring about black people when he is the same c00n who tells younger NBA players not to get with black women.

this might sound like some super sensitive type shyt and I understand it's his job and these cats get criticized publically all of the time for their whole lives, etc., etc., etc.... but I can see where Jordan and Tiger are coming from, I probably wouldn't fukk with my friend either if he was shytting on me on TV, even if I deserved it. Especially a guy like Jordan who is used to and appreciates yes-men... if Chuck wanted to keep that friendship he should've acted like Ahmad Rashad.
