Yes they will care. It may not always be a deal breaker, but it will be something some teams consider if the media gives their dad a platform. He could end up being a locker room cancer and he's not even playing. Imagine Lonzo going to the Lakers and ESPN has his dad on there talking about "D'Angelo Russell is a bum and he's taking too many of my sons minutes."

Nobody wants that type of unnecessary attention. But once again, if he's really good, none of it will matter

This is exactly what's going to happen no doubt about it. Lavar has already thrown some shade on Lonzo's UCLA teammates. He's pulling all the strings at Chino Hills High so his other sons can shine.. He already shytted on Steph Curry so you know its going to be open season on players, coaches, front office of the team that drafts Lonzo. GM's are going to have to sit down with Lonzo and his pops and see what's what before they even consider drafting him.
