Actually, that stand your ground law does give Trayvon the right to fight back since it is reasonable that he felt endangered by some molester looking Latino guy following him around the neighborhood.
All that Barkley is really right about is that the lack of evidence did make a conviction difficult. Since Zimmerman had the foresight to kill the only person who knows what happened, he's safe based on the same principles that have kept real cops out of trouble in these situations since the beginning of time. On one side you have the professional family man who donates his time to protecting his neighbors (allegedly), on the other side you have a young black teenager who wasn't an honor student and smoked weed. That alone provides all of the reasonable doubt needed.
The disgusting part of it is that a station like Fox News can go on the air and lob slow pitch softball questions up to him so he can be portrayed like the polite well mannered "why can't they all be more like him" minority who has risen up and now protects white america against his own flesh and blood. It's sickening that people donated money to the piece of shyt.

I can't rock with Charles on this one. Him being a child of the 60's and 70's should know how hard it is for a black man and how much we get stereotyped across the world. This kid was shot for no reason and even an idiot should be able to see that. No matter if Tavon attacked him or not he would still be alive if Zimmerman didn't follow him in his car. As a black male especially one who is from the streets) when you are approached by someone and if your father raised you right your first instinct is to attack someone that approaches you with an aggressive tone. If Trayvon didn't yank him out the car and he got out on his own accord then yeah George was looking for trouble and tried to be a hero for a kid walking through the neighborhood.
