He's the classic example of somebody with ok talent letting his arrogance and personal demons sabotage any possibility of real success in life. Unfortunately, he does have mental issues and the drug abuse is PROBLY his way of quieting the voices in his head. IMO without Charles Hamilton Lil B doesn't exist.
Hamilton is the bridge between the superhard self parody of the pre-swag era, to the current 'performance art' throw shyt at the canvas to see what sticks complete crap era.
Sad that Hamilton gets judged for not Chris Browning his girlfriend but Lil B gets multiple passes for getting ktfo by one homo dude, calling himself gay, crossdressing, etc etc...
I never fukked with dudes music like that, but as someone who has mentally I'll family members I don't judge the lil homie. Plus he'll be back

Charles was that dude. He had me more excited then any other rapper in a long time.
He wasnt afraid to be himself no matter how he was perceived .

I played Pink Lavalamp and It's Charles Hamilton a ton, but he never really could've been that dude. To be honest, as good as his beats were/are, the sound of many of them would not agree with many people lol. His character and obsessiveness would be too much for people. He could've had a strong steady following, but he really ruined that. Super over-saturation and his head being in the clouds killed him.

Just listened to some of the recent tracks that was posted up in this thread. Charles is just incredible at production and has a decent flow, but he needs to stop singing in his own songs....shyt is awful. He needs to either autotune that shyt or get somebody to sing those hooks.
Too bad he doesn't like Lil B. If he did a mixtape with Lil B, he could probably get some buzz back.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... He is the Daniel Johnston of hip hop... Potential to make some of the best, most thought provoking music out there... But dude is just too looney to maintain a healthy career....
