One of the GOATS. His diction and delivery, comedic timing, range,

Could go from playing a timid, mysterious Quasimodo, then could play a stern, evil Captain Bligh.

Could kill it playing historical figures like Henry VIII, then could kill you with laughter with his role in Witness for the Prosecution.

He never gives a bad performance.

i've only ever seen him in Witness for the persecution but its one of the 5 best performances in the 100 old movies in the past yr

plus he did Night of the Hunter.. permanent pass in my book
