This being so "shocking" to people just proves how soft sports have been lately.....i hate to be a "back in my day" guy but let's keep it real things like this happened more frequently then we just didn't have camera phones to capture shyt. Think about all the stories you heard about teammates beating eachother up....players putting hands on coaches, beating up fans etc. This isn't shocking to see Oak out there...I could also see this happening to Mason if he was alive, Mahorn, Vernon Maxwell...etc etc...I can't picture anyone in the league now doing this ever

It aint really the "soft aspect" it's more the instant access to video/media and just how things are covered. There's also more scrutiny and importance placed on certain events. Folks barely remember Antonio Daivs running in the stands to protect his wife, there was no fight or anything like in Detroit, but it happened AFTER Malice in the Palace and we rarely hear it mentioned
