The suspect in the murder of Charlie Kirk confessed to his father that he was the shooter. His father told authorities and secured his son until they could arrive to pick him up— Sources tell @evanperez @HBRabinowitz @HolmesLybrand

I wonder how the father of the suspect “secured” his son until the authorities could pick him up.
Did he hogtie him or lock him inside his room?
What a terrible position to be in as a father.
The father deserves that $100k reward, but I’m sure he’s rather have his son.

@DeimosWeb3
Did authorities confirm motive yet?

@RRestermann
In addition to Charlie Kirk's family, my sympathy also goes out to this father, who did the right thing but will never be happy again in his life.

This has to have been the most gut-wrenching decision a person could make. Good on him for making the moral choice.

Have to feel for that dad. All that work to try to raise your kid right and then they do the unthinkable.

As a father, I can only imagine how difficult that must have been for him.

@SteveMacDonal12
What does it mean that the father "secured his son"? It's doubtful that he sat on him.

Pray for that father. That must be one of the most difficult things a parent could do.

@kairo88
The suspect knew he might be caught eventually so he chose to turn himself in instead of being found.

So the FBI didn't catch him. The father did.
Someone needs to appoint that father to run the FBI
25/37
@NewJackWhack
Lol so the FBI was practically useless

@HacknerTyler
So the fbi didn’t catch him but the father did

@mean_toe
Wow, kinda shocked his father turned him in instead of securing an attorney first. This whole thing makes no sense, there’s too many holes in this story.
