Why is that a requirement?

How many of the greatest NBA players of all time are from the 50s?

Not that I even necessarily disagree with you though, cause LL for sure deserves a spot over Cole IMO…but not just because he’s arbitrarily from the 80s
50 years worth of rap music but it's null and void if it ain't :flabbynsick:

Replace Drake, Cole, and Kanye with Rakim, G Rap, and Cube and that list would be fake valid:ehh:

Rakim was the prototype but his catalog is small a few classics then he had a quiet run.

Kool G Rap - His influence is undeniable but his commercial reach and cultural reach is small he’s an underground legend but not a mainstream icon.

Cube - Cube was great in the 90s but started falling off in the 2000s

J.Cole

I’m not mad at it they all are impactful. I would have swapped out Cole for Andre or LL though.
No black thought?

And 2 of them don’t write their own

While I do think it's important I can't let something like commercial success rule out someone being considered a great rapper.

If that's the case then ghostwriting should be considered as well, which we see AI completely ignores.

All three of those names I mentioned have had enough commercial success along with being iconic rappers to be considered great

Most casual hip hop fans would have a lot those people in they top 5 or top 10.
Only caveat is that's only with nikkas in yalls age group

My age and younger ainy gone have none of them nikkas. Yall would have a aneurysm seeing yatchy, 21, carti, and yeat on those lists:pachaha:
