I got the weird sense as well BUT I can understand why she would flinch, she knew she fukked up.
He seemed VERY mad and anyone would be, you're married, you take care of someone (did you see the diamond on her finger?!), and they are flying across the country to fukk other men they met on the internet, putting YOUR life at risk.
You take them back, and they continue to do the SAME thing. She had no excuse. I can understand how he feels, he didn't put it in the best way but that must be a tough blow to take.
