I'm definitely thinking about it.

I'm trying to get to the point I can live here and maintain a place there also.

I'm up in the air re Mexico City vs The Yucatan.... i love the beach but the Yucatan gets so damn hot and humid.

We researched Merida and those temperatures were insane. I wouldn’t mind Playa. Wouldn’t do Tulum.

Thought about Polanco and Condesa area in MC. I got a few buddies who loved it when they lived there.

Looks like the Whites are driving up prices.

But seriously we went to Cozumel back in July (and Playa is only a ferry ride over to Coz)
all my pictures taken outside look like i just stepped out a shower, did not dry off and just put all my clothes on.
I was like, damn , we really gonna retire in this bytch - it was in the lower 90s after midnight the week we were there.
but then I realized - I ain't gotta go outside if I don't need to . they got food delivery on whatsapp.
in September, it was in the 80's all day for the week and rained one day and it was in the high 70's


but you are dead on about the pricing
CACs drive up prices everywhere
there is one YT lady realtor from Texas in Cozumel responsible for their insane prices now (her name is Nancy, we actually saw her on the tv show Mexico Living)
we actually met her in the beginning and was dealing with her till other CACS of all people put us on game.

you know you aint worth a damn as a CAC when other YT ex-pats (immigrants) tells a breh and his wife not to deal with another CAC
Local cacs would come up to us in bars and be like , we saw you riding around with Nancy today , if you do not want your pockets ran, you may wanna deal with somebody else (not too many brehs in Cozumel)- i think my wife and i will be 2 of 6, if we moved today. but like i said in an earlier post there are thousands of brehs/brehettes in Merida.
So, it surprised us with all the random CACS assisting us like that. seriously

its 4/5 times higher than when we started going there in 2007, because of her greedy @$$
in 2007 you could get a 1000 sq ft condo there for about $25k ( not beach front) , today the same units cost 100-120k.
we got lucky - like I said some CAC business owners put us onto a local realter that they trusted and breh and his daughter got us local prices


But i mentioned in other threads -me an my wife had been going there for years on cruises before we mentioned moving there - so we already had a

close circle of business owners, locals and ex-pats (immigrants) that we had known for about 9 years, so they knew we were serious and got the ball rolling. Expeditiously.
