Bruh, they're all communicable viruses that cause temporary bumps/sores that linger in the body via the CNS.

It's all pretty much the same thing.
I'm not a guy.
You're more than welcome t say they're the same thing, but if someone got chicken pox tomorrow they wouldn't be saying 'omg I got herpes simplex virus' unless they were stupid or being funny.

I got my titers taken and I'm 'equivocal' for varicella but when I got blood work done for herpes it came out negative for both HSV1 & HSV2

you are slightly incorrect.
Hsv 1 & 2 are strand of herpes. However other strands of herpes are not HSV 1or 2.

chicken pox is not the same as herpes simplex 1 or 2.
The chicken pox vaccine has the varicella strand, which is not the same as the herpes simplex strand.

There are 8 viruses in the herpes family. Having one doesn't mean you have them all.
It annoys me when people mention chicken pox when the conversation is about HSV.

THEY ARE NOT THE SAME
Your right. Not all herpes are the same. Logically if you think about it...almost everyone gets chickenpox at some point or gets vaccinated. This pretty much stops you from getting chickenpox again, but it doesnt keep you from getting oral/genital herpes. Their different with different consequences
