don't read post brehs

Genetic Diversity
Paragraph from the page :This event caused an extreme reduction of the cheetah’s genetic diversity, known as a population bottleneck, resulting in the physical homogeneity of today’s cheetahs. Poor sperm quality, focal palatine erosion, susceptibility to the same infectious diseases, and kinked tails characteristic of the majority of the world’s cheetahs are all ramifications of the low genetic diversity within the global cheetah population.

I kno a lil sum sum

So you're completely ignoring the human element? :what:

This shyt ain't happening naturally, bruh.

There's a delicate balance in this world and we've jacked it up in just the 75 years
Everything we do is natural. Were part of the ecosystem.

Farmers have to grow food and make money to live. fukk a cheetah

Nah that why I said I always thought the lack of genetic diversity would get them. As in I thought the lack of genetic diversity would be a major problem for cheetahs down the road not humans. I learned about the genetics thing a couple years ago and when I saw the thread I came in with that thought but the article proves otherwise. So now I know whats what. Definitely not "ignoring the human element" the human element is what led to my surprise and led me to make my first post...

Pre industrializstion the world population was less tha 1 billion, now its 7 times that amount.

And what is this supposed to mean? The American wolf went extinct when the human population was well below that, yet these animals thrived before white people came. Plenty of animals and plants were brought to the brink of extinction, some of them were, when there were less people around. Face it, it's mostly whites and Far East Asians fault this is happening and Far East Asians didn't used to be this way until they started acting like Europeans and middle easterners. They over consume and don't care until it's too late. Sadly most Africans don't have money like that, so you know it's not them buying up these animal furs, ivory, etc. The poaching exists because a specific group of people are buying it. With high poverty people are willing to do horrible things to survive. It's sad.

they need to be doing more to protect them in africa

:birdman:hunt those poachers down

Africans have a hard time protecting themselves, not even just them black people in general. We have so many issues to deal with, sadly we don't really have the time or resources to really deal with it. I don't know much about poachers but I doubt it's strictly African brehs hunting down these animals, they are definitely not the majority consumers. I read somewhere that Asia is a big market for it.

As far as the land issue goes, that's even more complicated, once again it seems to be not solely an African issue.

They need to introduce these things to NA to get ahold of our deer problem. And their virtually harmless to humans so it's not like we're introducing another Mountain Lion or something.

cheetahs have to be the coolest wild animals.

Unlike other big cats, cheetahs cannot roar. However, they can purr on both inhale and exhale, like domestic cats! ... Cheetahs are also typically solitary animals.

In the Silver Lining
Need to merge these parks together. Animals.don't compare about invisible boundaries. I hate the idea of animls going extinct. :scust:

Asians and Middle Easterners do play a big role because their middle class and rich populations can demand these "exotic" things. However, the irony is that it is going to take better land use planning and richer African countries that can afford to invest in animal habitat protection as well.

We can grow crops for human consumption and for other products indoors, vertically in skyscrapers, and for 24 hours/365 days, . Vertical farming - Wikipedia. We could actualy protect a lot of land if steps were taken to implement this in cities. Always :martin: about these stories of environmental destruction, when there are dozens of technologies that can keep humanity humming along and protect other species.....we just live in a Matrix ass world.
