But wasn't that a three disc set? if it was then those are not the true numbers, when someone bought a double like AEOM or LAD it counted as 2 albums.

it was sold as a single though

shelf price was $12 or whatever

abel out here movin units

***If*** those are the true numbers then Chief Keef might have had higher first week numbers than this dude :ehh:

I wonder if Hip Hop forums was around back in 96 would people would be hating on Mobb Deep like they hate on Chief Keef, granted Keef ain't no Prodigy rapping wise but the subject matter is similar :mjpls:

I bumped the album they dropped in 96 last night and :wow: at how RAW it is..

Keefs is a flop . He's his own fault he didn't want to do interviews or show up to video shoot. They cancelled his tour lol ... They had a bidding war and have him multimillion dollar advance not to stay in the house jumping around with his boys. He cost them more money by not showing up to his video shoot .
You think interscope wants a 360 deal artist that makes them no money ? He's not touring , he's not selling . Has no multimillion selling singles smh it's a lose

I dont consider it a flop because Flockaveli only sold 37,000 first week.

Same market.

That type of music just wont sell much i guess.

Definitely not a flop, a new rapper (who can't rap) pops up out of nowhere with a catchy song and releases his album the same year (in times where rappers wait 3-4 years from their initial fame until their major label debut). And still sells more FW than comparable artists did during better times.

Flop is a relative term, not an absolute term.

The type of music these people make does not appeal to a lot of consumers, their swag, movement, personalities etc doesn't either.
The hits they put out (once or twice in their career) however does.

Its the market. The people who buy albums most are white women probably. Cheif Keef's music mainly caters to young, wild hood nikkas, and best believe them nikkas aint buying shyt.

Im sure a decent number of white ppl listen to Cheif Keef but to support him and buy his records is an entirely different story.
